Baby Shower Sangria

I LOVE Sangria.

Because, really, with all the fruit in it, it counts as a health food.  Sort of.

Food Network freak that I am - I started off with a Bobby Flay recipe.  Which was delicious, of course, but Deb cannot leave well enough alone.  I mean, Bobby knows his sangria, but I mess around with recipes and switch them up - because I don't have all the ingredients on hand and am too lazy to go to the store, or, I believe I can do better (???), or whatever.

Here's the sangria I make most often.  It's called "Baby Shower Sangria" as a dear friend of mine, when I asked what I could bring to her baby shower, said "YOUR SANGRIA".  Do not judge me, people.

Ingredients:

2 bottles Spanish red wine - I prefer Tempranillo
1/2 cup brandy
1/2 cup white rum
1/2 cup triple sec
Splash or two of limoncello
Simple syrup, to taste
1 cup orange juice (fresh squeezed is best, you do as you do)
1 cup cranberry juice
Juice of one lemon
Juice of one lime
1 orange, sliced, plus more for garnish
1 lemon, sliced, plus more for garnish
1 lime, sliced, plus more for garnish
Handful of raspberries or blueberries, or both - whatever looks good
1 cinnamon stick
Club soda, for serving

Mix all ingredients together, EXCEPT the club soda and whatever you're garnishing with.  Refrigerate for at least 12 hours, 24 is better.  Serve over ice with a splash of club soda for fizz and a couple slices of fruit.

Perfect for all parties....including baby showers.
